Decking / Cladding / Panelling
IPE
IPE Decking & cladding (Brazilian Walnut) is olive-brown to dark-brown in color. It is one of the strongest wood of the world and is termite, mold and fungi resistant. It is considered to be twice as strong as oak and to be best in class. It is environment friendly and the most durable wood. FSC certified IPE wood.
IPE is extremely dense less susceptible than other woods to burning, with a fire rating that is the same as steel and concrete. Within ipe wood are natural oils that preserve it; combined with the wood’s exceptional density, you can expect an ipe deck or fence to last up to 50 years without replacement. “While Ipe does have some warmth when the sun is out, it does not retain the heat. So, it never gets too hot to walk on.
THERMOPINE/ THERMO ASH
The natural appeal, versatility and strength of timber make it the superior choice for cladding. Through specification, planning, design and finishing processes, timber cladding not only creates a building of superior strength, acoustic and thermal performance but also creates a place of beauty, style and natural appeal.
The ThermoWood process respects the natural properties of wood. The patented production process is based on the gradual thermal modification of wood, wherein the chemical and physical properties of the wood undergo permanent change. The thermal modification of wood improves the wood’s properties, thereby expanding the range of applications in which the wood can be used. Thanks to their improved durability against decay, the products are well suited to applications involving demanding weather conditions. The beautiful look and dimensional stability make the products suitable for interior as well exterior decoration.
Here are the quick facts about ThermoWood:
- It is a process where wood is being heated above 450ºC to 500ºC degrees.
- The process is carried out in the absence of oxygen.
- It enhances the look of the wood.
- It darkens the wood, hence changing its natural colour.
- It makes it almost chemical free, long lasting, natural weather resistant, healthy and allergy free.
TEAK:
Teak's high oil content, high tensile strength and tight grain make it particularly suitable where weather resistance is desired. It is used in the manufacture of outdoor furniture and boat decks. It is also used for cutting boards, indoor flooring, countertops and as a veneer for indoor finishings.
WPC:
Wood-plastic composites (WPCs) are composite materials made of wood fiber/wood flour and thermoplastic(s) such as PE, PP, PVC, or PLA. Wood-plastic composites are still new materials relative to the long history of natural lumber as a building material. The most widespread use of WPCs in North America is in outdoor deck floors, but it is also used for railings, fences, landscaping timbers, cladding and siding, park benches, molding and trim,
